Library Information Technology (LIB/IT)

The Library Information Technology Class (LIB/IT)  is a hybrid class,  students recieve instruction  individulally as well as through the class  wiki.

What is a wiki???

Put quite simply, a wiki is a website that is written with simple markup language that allows users to create, link, and edit pages.  Anyone can see the AHS LIB/IT wiki but only members can create pages and edit work. Because it is web based, students can work collaboratively and publish their work on the Web. Each week, the front page introduces the assignment and provides links for additional information. Students also learn about a new “Cool Tool” each week. (To see previous activities, look in the Weekly Front Page Activity folder)

If you want to know more about wikis, Wikis in Plain English is a short video that explains what a wiki is and how they work.

To access the LIB/IT wiki go to the following site:

www.crowleywiki.pbworks.com

The members of our class also communicate through our class discussiom blog at the fllowing link.
