Achievements & Congratulations: Minimize

Jazmin Gauvain, a member of the sophomore class, was accepted to the New England Young Writers' Conference (NEYWC) at the Bread Loaf Campus, Middlebury College, VT from May 13 - 16, 2010.  Students who are accepted by NEYWC to attend are part of a very small and selective group of enthusiastic and talented students.  Congratulations Jazmin!

Congratulations to the AHS Winter Guard who placed 1st in the NESBA show in Mansfield on Saturday, March 20th

 Ms. Patricia Pflaumer, advisor for the Greenwave Gazette, announced that the American Society of Newspaper Editors, who oversee the Abington High School online newspaper, selected a review written by freshman Conor Donovan entitled "A Book Not to Keep Quiet About" for their national edition.  You may view Conor's article on: My High School Journal

Congratulations to: Minimize

Seventy one Abington High School students took Advanced Placements tests in 2010.  Forty eight members of the Class of 2010 and twenty three members of the Class of 2011 took tests in Government, Statistics, Calculus, English Literature & Composition, US History and Physics.

Congratulations to Meredith Cellini.  She was elected for a two-year term as the representative to the Student Advisory Council beginning in September 2010.

 Congratulations to Jennifer Ngo and James Rota on their election to represent Abington High School in the Annual Student Government Day held at the Massachusetts
