2010 Season Wrap Up
The 2010 season has come to an end for the Green Wave golf team. They ended with an 8 and 8 record. With that record they were able to qualify for the Division 2 MIAA Tournament. The Green Wave finished 4th in the South Shore League. They also placed 4th at the South Shore League tournament. This year’s team was led by senior Kevin Quinlan and senior captain Ben Pignone. Both Kevin and Ben were selected as South Shore League All Stars. When talking with Ben Pignone he said “I was impressed with the young players on the team, it was important for them to step up and help win”. A few of those young players include John Leblanc, Matt Chirillo, and Tim Degrasse. Ben’s favorite memory of this season was “Riding in the van when everyone was fighting about what they wanted to eat”. Pignone hopes that the team can continue to succeed next year and make the tournament again, “They are a young team so anything is possible”.
